Yeah, definitely. I mean, a part of it is genetic too. Plus, just because someone's life seems all good doesn't mean they can't have their own issues behind that.

Kieran: I get what you're saying now... so thanks

Do you have a ride home?

Kieran: Haha my parents probably haven't gotten back from work yet so I'm walking back as we speak... or text I guess

Kieran: Next time we'll just have to find a time where we're all free from appointments! :)

For sure. I'm looking forward to that too.

Before I knew it, time had flown by me, uncaring if I wanted it to wait a second. Finals were over and summer break was about to begin. Usually, I'd spend it doing nothing, but I think to myself that I should probably start thinking about colleges. And maybe even hang out with my new friends. It still feels like a fever dream some days...

I'm going to miss you guys...

Kieran: You texting first? Now THAT'S a surprise

Kieran: But seriously you're acting like we're all moving across the country... We'll meet up during the summer for sure >:)

Lucy: Oh, definitely. I'm gonna force you guys to go out if you don't, you know?

Leo: Give me the first week to sleep in...

Lucy: I thought YOU'D be the most enthusiastic, Leo.

I can't help but laugh to myself at the messages popping up on my screen at light speed. I never thought I would be one of those kinds of teenagers, but I managed to meet people who enable me.Weirdly enough, I get another private message from Kieran, so I check to see what he sent.

Kieran: I just wanted to say thank you

Huh? What did I do?

Kieran: Hahaha this is kinda out of the blue huh? You probably don't remember at this point.

Kieran: I managed to book myself a mental health consult. I started talking to the school's psychologist after that chat but I really don't think I would've even looked into it if someone didn't tell me that what I was feeling was okay

So that's why Kieran was asking those cryptic questions? I wouldn't have imagined someone so put-together would be struggling, but I'm glad I said what I did at that time.

That's really great! I hope it can help you :)

Kieran: Haha I hope so too :) My emojis really rubbed off on you huh?

I run an anonymous message board for my high school. A friend from my old school and I made it when I first transferred, hoping for some entertaining responses, but nobody posted anything to it. At first, I forgot about it entirely, leaving it to rot in the depths of the internet. But through the account, I met amazing peers who I learned lots about and who helped me learn about myself. I aimed to help support them through the tough times and make memories we'll cherish in the future. I never would've thought it would be possible for someone like me... but for the first time, I'm looking forward to the endless possibilities of our future together.

Thank you so much for playing!
